Senator David Mark Begs South-East Leaders To Do More In Dissociating Themselves From Biafra To Prove They Are Truly For Nigeria’s Unity




Senator David Mark has condemned calls for those asking for Nigeria to break-up – The former Senate president urged those agitating for a break-up to have a re-think Nigeria’s former Senate president, Senator David Mark, has condemned calls for the break-up of the country. Mark, in his Eid-el-fitr message, asked the agitators to have a re-think, adding that the agitations are needless.

He said: “The trend today is that nations are coming together and bridging gaps for mutual cooperation under a new world order of globalization for a better society. Nigeria is part of the global community.”

He urged Muslim faithful to imbibe the lessons of the holy month of Ramadan and continue to pray for peace, unity and stability of Nigeria. Mark warned that another civil war for the country will be devastating and catastrophic, not only for Nigeria but for the entire African continent.

“We should have learnt bitter lessons from that war. Another war is needless. We cannot survive another. We can resolve all grievances at a round-table conference in a manner of give and take and mutual respect,” he said.

Another civil war for Nigeria will be devastating he further said.

  1. Who’s talking about another war other than you Mark and your Nigerians. Biafrans seeking self determination is not a call for another war. Stop acting ignorant. Biafra must restore. Biafrans and Nigerians do not share common values and ancestry. We must separate back to our origins.
