A former minister of aviation says there will be consequences if the Igbos are kicked out of the north – Some northern groups have given Nigerians of Igbo extraction three months ultimatum to vacate the their region – Fani Kayode is a self professed supporter of the Biafra agitation Femi Fani Kayode, a former minister of aviation, says there will be grave consequences if the northerners execute their threat of kicking the Igbos out of their states.
The former mister said this in reaction to the threat made recently by some northern groups.
Gistcribng.com had earlier reported that Igbo people in the north have been given three months to leave the region as the clamour for Biafra continues to gain momentum. The quit notice to all the Igbos in the region came from the Coalition of Northern Youths (CNY).
We learnt that the group also urged northern people in the south-eastern part of the country to immediately start moving back to their various states. In his tweets, Fani Kayode said kicking the Igbos out of the north will not help matters in the country. He said: “Threatening the Igbo and kicking them out of the north won’t help. This time round the Middle Belt and the whole south will stand with them.”
“We want peace by restructuring and not violence. Unleashing genocide against the Igbo or anyone else in north will have grave consequences,” he added.
We had also reported that Femi Fani-Kayode called on Prophet TB Joshua to pray for the actualisation of an independent Oduduwa Republic for Yoruba people.
We also recalls that the former minister has been a staunch supporter of the Biafra agitation and has expressed his support for Nnamdi Kanu who is the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra.
